PROMOTIONS!!!!!

This is the promotion of our music video .We then needed a larger feedback of an audience. Therefore, so I took a decision to use the help of Web 2.0 and upload the video on Youtube. Then, we realized not everyone uses Youtube as they ask for people to make a an account so we further shared it's link on Facebook since it's our most used social networking site as there are only 5 comments on youtube. The following pictures show the number of comments and likes we received on our video on our very first day. Most of the comments are positive as you can see for yourself but 1 hold criticism of the the guitar scene. We didnt upload in any special day as this topic is not easily discussed.

PROMOTION AND ADVERTISMENT...

Before we were going to release our music video for the audience to see, we made a basic poster and shared that on social media. We chose a picture where our actor walking in a forest in his dreams and is giving an aesthetic feel and a vision for the audience to see. The reason as to why we chose this picture is because it's a very dramatic shot and creates a sense of excitement and mystery as to what's going to happen next. With that, we added the text on to the picture saying 'Music Video Coming Soon'.

MAKING OF THE ANCILLARY TASK DIGIPAK...

I'm making digipak as this the task for us...As we started working on our digipak, we kept in mind the theme our whole project had, But decided to keep it slightly appealing by keeping it in colour. In our music video we had several representative items. So to make it interesting, we decided to keep those.
This is the template we used.

We started by selecting a picture of our artist that we all agreed on to be on the inside right. We imported the picture into our photo editing software. For this we used Adobe Photoshop CS6. We turned it Black and White, and further decreased the amounts of the colours Red, Green, and Yellow, so that our picture gets a richer look.



We then proceeded to apply the edited picture file onto the template. For that we, again, used Adobe Photoshop CS6. To apply this picture, we went into edit, then paste special, and then paste. As the template was in a CD shape, we had to cut out the centre circular region. We did that by selected the Rectangle tool, and then Elliptical Marquee Tool. With this tool, we selected the inner circle, and removed it. This is how it looked so far.




Then we chose the front outside picture, and adjusted it's brightness and contract, and left the colours as they were. After, we added the edited picture onto the template and adjusted it according to how we wanted it to show. Then we simply added the text ''Silence'', which is the name of the song we used, and placed it on top of the cover. We did add the artist's name. We took the inspiration from Demi Lovatos Unbroken album cover.









Moving onto the inside left of the digipak, we chose a still from the video itself from when the actor is sitting on a bench hurt. We edited it's colours in Adobe Photoshop CS6 using Colour Balance. Later, after we adjusted the picture onto the template, we added a verticle barcode

. This is a very conventional item used in a digipak.

We wanted to see how a digipak cover is made and want to take an example by the help of the media web 2.0 google which a serach engine.

before starting with our website I wanted to do some research on some websites which are already uploaded.I wanted to go with khalid's website with a little touch of michelle carrillos website aswell.

EDITING (PART 2 LAST DAY).

Over here I'm using plugin called LOOKS whic is gives the music video a cinematic and crisp look it also gives toning to the frames and can give a boost to many aspects of the shots..... im using CLASSIC TENSION as my effect and im using curves and contrastr to match the rgb...

EDITING DAY 1.....

I will be editing this music video as ive put all my shots in the timeframe Im looking for all the details required. Im using fade to white some more transitions... as using RGB curves and ProcAMP tro see the vibrancy of the video and fix the missing detail of the video..

SHOOT DAY 3...

This was the scene of tracking and i used handheld movement to control the shots and this was the most difficult for me to do..... this was also the same exact location and a perfect natural lighting as the song name is silence so we wanted to show the silence as forest as forest is known too be quiet and dark

shoot day 2..

We decided to use the same location and this was the perfect mise-en-scene. This is the scene of finding himself.. this was the scene with lip sync so I brought a beats speaker so that the actor can lip sync better. 

Shoot day 1 (PART 2) bench scene

As we took 2 hour break we decided to finish this scene in 1 day because as this was someones house and we took permission from them.. Here I am telling the actor to improve the act as this has no lip sync and had to give a sad expression.

We decided to do non-linear shooting since the software we are going to use is adobe premiere pro 6 in which non-linear editing can be done effortlessly.Our location was haunted hill f-6 Islamabad.As there is a solo actor in the video i decided to keep the location in a forest area just like the video of last dance and the forest. Over here I wanted to take a tilt of the actor portraying him as something has happened to him. The camera setting for this scene was auto iso and shutter speed 125 with aperture of 5.6.
